Hello! I feel truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to help others along their journey! My passion is to help clients identify where they are disoriented and create a plan to become re-oriented. Through self-awareness, we find purpose and clarity; with a little support and guidance we find courage to step out of our comfort zone; and by stretching our limits, we are able to find our way toward our innermost goals and desires.
Private Practice
I am grateful for each of the clients I have worked with throughout the past 20+ years of private practice! I work with individuals who want to live from a place of awareness, balance and connection. Their goal is to lead a fulfilled and purposeful life in all areas (physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual)! I also work with individuals struggling with specific concerns such as anxiety, depression, disordered eating, OCD, weight management, relationships, etc. Most of my practice is made up of adults and adolescents.
Using the Enneagram with my clients (as well as my own personal growth and self-awareness!) is something I am very passionate about! While it is not necessary, the Enneagram is an amazing tool to use during the therapy process. Whether you are fascinated with the Enneagram, are thinking "Ennea What?" or stand somewhere in between, I would love to talk about this amazing tool with you and use it as part of your journey toward self-knowledge, and growth!
Educational Background
I received a bachelors degree in Psychology in 1993 and masters degree in Exercise Physiology in 1995 (both from East Carolina University - Go Pirates!). I worked in the health and fitness industry for several years. During this time, I realized that I wanted to help others feel healthy and balanced in all areas of life, not just physically. In 2001, I received a masters degree from East Carolina University in Clinical Psychology.
I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you and work with you!
